At a certain point of a relationship you start to build a routine and get used to some things you wouldn’t usually stand or sometimes you also have to discover the long distance relationship, against your will.
Well, it’s not that bad. Don’t listen to your friend Katie who cries all the time because she misses him “so much”. Of course, it can be difficult, but you will get used to it pretty fast.
- DON’T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON THE PHONE
The first rule i’d like to introduce you guys to, is to avoid spending too much time on Facetime, Skype, Whatsapp Video and all the apps that allows you to talk to them. You might think that spending the whole night on the phone will make you feel like you are closer to him/her but actually it’s not. You are going to feel their absence stronger. But one thing to remember is to always pick up/answer the phone. It can be very frustrating to remain with no answer.
2. FILL YOUR DAYS
A second good way to avoid the feeling of loneliness is to fill your day with a lot of activities. If you are always busy or occupied by something you will spend less time thinking about your beloved one and your days will go by quicker. Subscribe to a yoga class, go out with some friends, plan your days so that you always have plenty of things to do. You will have plenty of time to talk to your babe when you get home.
3. AVOID FIGHTING
One thing you don’t want is fighting with someone you don’t get to see regularly. So stay strong and bear with it until better times instead of ruining both your moods. If there is a misunderstanding, wait and try to talk about it when you are both calm.
